  • 1/29 - Whale Watch and Cabrillo Beach Tide Pools trip - All parents are invited to join us at the Cabrillo Beach tide pool. We will be there about 1 - 3 pm. Park at the Cabrillo Beach Museum parking lot. If you haven't sent in your donation, please do so now.

• Coming soon...Readers Cafe. Our grant from Donor's Choose is funded and we're expecting new books soon. the date for the opening of the Reader's cafe will be announced soon. Out author is on Chris Van Allsburg (Polar Express & Jumanji)

• 2/7 Guatemalan Celebration - We need parent volunteers. Thank you!

• 2/10 Guatemalan report due - Fables are stories that teach a lesson. Fable characters are usually animals. Choose a native Guatemalan animal, such as jaguar, spider monkey, puma, etc, as your main character and write your own fable. Use your adjectives to describe the characters and settings.

• 2/14 Valentine's Day -  Students will bring home a decorated shoebox size "mailbox"
 for their Valentine "mail".  Please start making Valentine cards for each of their classmates. Please bring the Valentine "mailbox" and Valentine cards (in a separate bag) on Friday Feb. 14th.
